Judith "Judy" A. Casebolt's Obituary
CASEBOLT, Judith “Judy” A., age 70, of Germantown and formerly of Franklin, Carlisle, and Waynesville passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Judy worked over 35 years caring for others as a nursing assistant at Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, other nursing homes, and in private care. She had tremendous faith in God all her life, never wandering from her love for Jesus or his promises. She was known to read her Bible for inspiration and guidance on a regular basis.
Loving, generous, caring, forgiving, family oriented, funny, and optimistic, Judy also had strong faith and could be strong-willed. She greatly enjoyed crocheting, watching true crime documentaries and shows on Netflix, collecting dolls, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, but her no bake cookies were the family’s favorite treat she made. She was quite the story teller and loved to share her experiences and thoughts. Among the many things, she will be remember for always having a sunny outlook and making the best of situations. Specifically, when the kids were young, and especially during hard times, she always ensured the kids had what they needed, especially at Christmas, on birthdays, and during school trips. She was even known to help mother the friends of her children.
She was preceded in death by an infant child, her parents Oza Thomas and Dorothy Mae Rodgers; and her sister Brenda Finley. She is survived by two sons Stephen (Jana) Casebolt and Thomas (Dawn) Casebolt; four grandchildren Hannah (C.J.), Sydney (Rick “Bear”), Jonathan, and Gabrielle Casebolt; best friend Joann Angel; and many other friends and family.
The family will receive friends 5 -7 PM Tuesday, September 1 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, immediately followed by a funeral service at 7 PM.
