Junith "Junie" A. Alexander's Obituary
ALEXANDER, Junith "Junie" A., age 86, of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her residence with family by her side.
Junie worked for more than 25 years for Jefferson Smurfit in Blue Ash. She was a member of Dodds Pentecostal Church in Waynesville. She was a member of the NRA and obtained her Concealed Carry permit not so many years ago.
Loving, caring, independent, understanding, and family-oriented, Junie was a Christian lady who lived for the Lord. She was known for keeping her house neat and tidy. In addition, she enjoyed landscaping her yard and watching the deer that visited. She was a great cook, but it wasn't something she loved to do because it would make a mess in her well-kept kitchen. Her favorite pastimes were working jigsaw puzzles on her tablet and caring for her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as "Mammie" by the grandkids. However, due to her love for her friends and family, Junie had a tradition of calling them "precious."
The family will remember fondly the tradition of gathering for Christmas Eve at Junie's home. In addition, Thanksgiving dinner, good luck dinners on New Year's Day, and all the many birthday celebrations Junie hosted will be remembered fondly. She was well known for making elaborate birthday cakes for her family members to enjoy on their special day. She traveled with her daughter and son-in-law to Europe in two separate years to enjoy many of Europe's treasure locations. However, it was the way she devoted herself to her husband during the time his health declined that the family will always hold with respect and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 2010; her parents, Shack and China Morgan; four brothers, Charlie, Bill, Dennis, and Glendon Morgan; and her sister, Emma Jean McClure. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Alexander (Thomas Harkenrider) and Cynthia Ann (Walt) Marconet; three grandchildren, Rachel Marconet, Matthew (Michelle) Harkenrider, and Andrew Harkenrider; six great-grandchildren, Bethanie, Brooke, Taylor, Rylee, Liam, and Eli; one brother, Raymond (Juanita) Morgan; special niece, Linda Jo Marshall; and her four grand dogs, Annie Mae, Oliver Pierre, Smoky Bear, and Charlie June.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 6, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Rev.
