Kathryn Sewell Jordan's Obituary
JORDAN, Kathryn Sewell, age 68, of Waynesville and formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Kathryn was a vivacious, charming, outgoing lady who loved being social. She was a social butterfly that loved being around people, especially if she could cheer them up. She had a great sense of humor and regularly shared stories that would make you laugh and cheer you up. While living in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was a middle school English teacher for the seventh and eighth grades. Later she became a service representative for two different phone companies. More recently, she worked as an associate for Target, where she loved socializing with shoppers. She regularly attended Waynesville Community Church of Waynesville, Ohio. She enjoyed attending the Wednesday night Bible study and Sunday School classes, where she met numerous amazing friends that she cherished.
Her family was very near and dear to her. She enjoyed playing card games and would always play the game Shanghai. Her two cousins, Beverly and Nickie, would take her to the movies. She recently saw ‘Indiana Jones’ and looked forward to seeing the new ‘Barbie’ movie. Kathryn was a huge collector of DVDs and music. It didn’t matter what kind; she collected them all. Her passion was taking care of her cats. She loved them like they were her children. She even had four cats who moved from Charlotte to Ohio with her. She was an avid sports fanatic. When she was younger, she would try to go to every Cincinnati Reds game she could get to. Later in life, she would gladly cheer on the Atlanta Braves and watch the Reds on the TV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Thelma Sewell, and two brothers, Michael and Loren Elliott Sewell. She is survived by her two cousins, Nickie Rainey and Beverly Hatfield, and one special second cousin, Robert Schatzer.
