Kelly Marie Servis' Obituary
SERVIS, Kelly Marie, age 60, of Waynesville, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Kelly graduated from Rockcastle County High School in Kentucky. She retired after 20 years of service at Wayne Local Schools, where she worked as a cook and transportation driver. After retiring, she worked an additional 4 years at Warren County ESC as a transportation driver. She will be remembered for the white outfits she would wear while working at Springwater Cookie Company in Springboro. In addition, she worked at the Waynesville Pharmacy for many years, where she always enjoyed seeing all the people from town. She was a member of the Found By Faith Church in Harveysburg.
Kind, caring, and selfless, Kelly had a heart of gold. She welcomed anyone into her home and always made them feel like they were part of her family. Family was a significant part of her life, and she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. The holidays meant the family was always together, spending quality time together. She cherished the many reunions at Caesar Creek Lake. She was an incredible cook, making the best macaroni and cheese, popcorn balls, and banana pudding. She collected home interior items and chicken figurines. Among many things, she will be remembered for her pride in her husband, kids, and grandkids, as well as the many memories she was able to make with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Norma Johnson, and two sisters, Rae Orndorf and Mary Marcum. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Larkin; two sons, Jamie (Jennifer) Servis and Kurtis (Laura) Servis; two daughters, Theresa (Jason) Rosebrough and Jennifer (Michael) Ihle; seven grandchildren, Kyla, Carisa, Dillon, Bryden, Waylon, Wyatt, and Samuel; three great-grandchildren, Ahleeah, Theo, and Adalyn; one brother, Charlie (Beverly) Johnson; and two sisters, Debbie Johnson and Marcella Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 13, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Bob Farley will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the Lung Transplant Foundation. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
