Kenneth A. Osborne Sr.'s Obituary
OSBORNE, Kenneth A. Sr., age 83, of Waynesville, passed away Mon., Oct. 28, 2019 at his residence.
Ken served honorably in the Third Armored Cavalry in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After working 17 years at Chrysler Corporation and 4 more years at Dayton Press, he officially retired in 1982. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville, the Waynesville American Legion Post 615, and the Waynesville Optimist Club. He was active in the Warren County 4H for 60 years.
Ken greatly enjoyed working around his home with the animals and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was very proud of being self sufficient with his home grown meals raised from their garden and livestock. He was extremely patriotic and proud of his country. Over the years, some of his favorite memories were made on the many family vacations, that usually either involved a historical attraction or camping. The family camping trips to Dale Hollow Lake were some of his favorites. Among the many things, he will be remembered for the traditional Sunday morning breakfasts that anybody and everybody were invited to and enjoyed over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Winnie Osborne. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene; six sons Joe Osborne (Pam), Steve Osborne, Tim Osborne (Jenny), Ken “Tate” (Becky) Osborne Jr., Jeff (Pam) Osborne, and Tom (Teri) Osborne; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother Larry (Vera) Osborne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Thurs., Oct. 31 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville. Father James Manning will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
