Kimberly L. Fox's Obituary
Fox, Kimberly L., age 63, of Waynesville and formerly of Gulfport, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 16, 2026.
As a social butterfly, Kimberly had a big heart and was very caring. She was very independent and proud of living life her way, with a fun-loving spirit. She was very close to her grandparents. When she was younger, she enjoyed camping at Longs Retreat with friends. While growing up, she enjoyed learning to play the drums and was an avid softball player. Her favorite music was Southern Rock, especially Fleetwood Mac. She enjoyed collecting shot glasses or t-shirts from places that she visited.
Kimberly initially moved to Gulfport, Florida, to care for a close friend who lived there, but she ultimately stayed and called it home for almost 50 years. When she was in Florida, she could be found at the pool or sipping cocktails at The Blinker and Peppers. Being independent, she could plan her day around her own schedule, and she always joked that her life started after her soap operas were over. Very involved in social activities, she loved hanging out with family and friends, and then being home in time to watch The Andy Griffith Show. She always said she had two homes when asked, Florida, and her hometown of Waynesville. In addition, she liked attending events at the local Legion hall. Her favorite teams to watch and cheer on were The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Among many things, she will be remembered for her great sense of humor and an addictive laugh that is unforgettable.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Brian Fox and Christy Fox, and her niece, Karlie Wheelen. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin; her three grandchildren, Aliza, Jessica, and Kyla; her brother, Todd George; her sister, Kelli Fox-Wheelen; her step-brother, Todd George; two special nieces, Kelsie and Taylor; three close family friends, Dana Reynolds, Jenn Carmack, and Cathy Wilson; and several great nieces and extended family members.
