Laverna R. Jeffery's Obituary
JEFFERY, Laverna, age 84, of Lebanon and formerly of Oregonia, passed away Mon. Nov. 30, 2015 at Otterbein Home, Lebanon. Laverna retired from the Hamilton County Board of Zoning Appeals after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Society. She was also a member and past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Clarksville, the Mason Community Grange, and the Waynesville Farmer's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2013; her parents Everett and Emma Reeder; three brothers Ozzie, Velmon, and Garland Burton; and two sisters Mabel Fisher and Helen Bryant. She is survived by her daughter Ruth (Mike) Johnston; son Bill Jeffery; four grandchildren Jay, Jon (Debbie), Vanessa (Ben), and Aaron; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sat. Dec. 5 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Rev. Steve Cann will officiate. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sat. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Otterbein Benevolent Fund, 585 N.
