Lawrence "Larry" K. Ary's Obituary
ARY, Lawrence “Larry” K., age 73, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at his residence.
Larry retired from GM in September of 2000 after working for 30 years as a machine repairman. After his formal retirement from GM, he worked an additional 20 years at General Engine Products in Franklin. He was a faithful member of the Southwest Church in Springboro.
Soft spoken, hard-working, and strong, Larry was also generous and humble. Devoted to God, he had immense faith in Jesus Christ. He greatly enjoyed antique tractors. Along with his brother, Larry would often fabricate and redesign John Deere lawn mowers to look like mini versions of John Deere tractors, which they often displayed in tractor shows. It became a fond tradition for them to attend tractor shows several times each year with other family members. He also enjoyed the tradition of getting together with the Ary family during reunions in Ithaca, Ohio. Larry’s other passions included dancing, especially West Coast Swing, Sudoku puzzles, and John Wayne movies. In addition to antique tractors, Larry had quite the collection of John Wayne memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kent and E’Vonne Ary, one brother, Martin Dale Ary, and a sister, Linda Elliott. He is survived by two sons, Corwin Lawrence (Haidee) Ary and Kenneth Charles Walker; one grandson, Kent Raistlin Ary; great-grandson, Jackson Lawrence Ary; one brother, Donald (Patricia) Ary; and three sisters, Alice Ary, Lorena Ary Chesser, and Loretta Perdue.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, April 19 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
