Lawrence J. "Red" Roberts' Obituary
ROBERTS, Lawrence J. “Red” age 82 of Lebanon passed away Tues. Jan. 15, 2008 at his residence. Lawrence was born in Adams Co. to George and Alta Mae Roberts and was a WWII Army veteran. He previously worked for NCR and later retired from Gerstner’s in Dayton. He greatly enjoyed baseball in his leisure time. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy of 55 years, son Mitchell Wingo, one granddaughter Linda Elliott, and one sister Daisy Wisecup. He is survived by eights daughters Nora Randolph, Fernetta (Steve) Davis, Connie Roberts, Debbie Burris, Dorothy Shannon, Millie Roberts, Dollie Brakefield, and Lorelei (Phil) Wood; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother Chester (Mary Lee) Roberts, and one sister Mildred Hoop. Graveside services noon Fri. Jan. 18 at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens Chapel, Centerville. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family. The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of Dayton for all their care, love, and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He was loved by all.
