Lee Thomas Wood's Obituary
WOOD, Lee Thomas age 69 of Waynesville passed away Sat. Aug. 25, 2007 at his residence. Born Aug. 12, 1938 to Halsey and Lessie Wood in Dobson, NC. He retired from International Paper in Mason in 2000 after 41 years of service. He greatly enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Gilmer and Jerry Wayne Wood, and one sister Marie Frye. He is survived by his wife Roberta M, married 50 years; son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Juliana Wood of Lebanon; two daughters and sons-in-law Melissa and Mickey Turner of Waynesville and Vicki and Randy Boring of Waynesville; eight grandchildren Shawna, Brian, Rita, Casey, Leslie, Zachary, Dakota, and Parker; three brothers Willie and his wife Pam Wood of Lebanon, Jimmy Wood of Harveysburg, and Ronald Wood of Harveysburg; and one sister Catherine Inman of Waynesville. Funeral services 2 PM Wed. Aug. 29 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor James Brown officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends noon – 2 PM Wed. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
