Lenord L. Nill's Obituary
NILL, Lenord L, age 94, longtime resident of Baltimore, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing, Groveport, Ohio.
Lenord was born in Dayton, Ohio, February 25th, 1930 to the late George and Emma (Schmidt) Nill. He was a graduate from Massie Township High School in Harveysburg, Ohio in 1948. He served in the National Guard and retired from Ohio Bell in Columbus, Ohio in 1984.
He married Martha (Adams) on May 26th, 1951, in Waynesville, Ohio.
Lenord was caring, good natured, and loved by all who knew him. He had many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed building and repairing just about anything with his hands. He loved spending time in his barn and enjoyed restoring a John Deere tractor, which made him proud. He was a history enthusiast and was particularly fond of Civil War history. As a private pilot, Lenord owned a Cessna aircraft, which created many fond family memories. He especially loved his hobby of farming, which he enjoyed for most of his life. He loved his Labrador Retriever dogs and spent time with them on long walks around his farm. He grew sweet corn for many years and had a road side market stand. He and Martha enjoyed ceramics for many years together.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Nill; two brothers, Elmer and Gerald Nill; sister Mildred Wilson. He is survived by his wife , Martha, of 73 years ; two sons, Gregory and Sidney Nill; daughter, Amy Nill; one brother, Ralph Nill; and their families.
A graveside memorial service will be scheduled in the future at Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
