Leonard R. Eldridge's Obituary
Leonard Ray Eldridge, age 80 of Waynesville passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Ray was born in Jackson, Kentucky to the last Farrish and Anna Lee Eldridge. He was preceded in death by his son Gary Eldridge and grandson Bobby; (2) brothers, Estil and Ernest; (7) sisters, Goldie, Evelyn, Reva, Etta, Lorrain, Wanda, and Ruth. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothy Eldridge (Russell); a daughter, Tina (Jerry) Hanks; sons, Rick (Sharon) Eldridge; Greg (Lora) Eldridge; (5) grandchildren, Missy, Timmy, Christina, Sara Jane, and Jeremi; (4) great-grandchildren, Trenton, Seth, Braydon, and Emmit; (1) brother, Lester (Rilda) Eldridge; (1) sister, Cassie Greenwell and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Ray was a quiet and humble man who loved the Lord and his family. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, and an active member of the Fairview Primitive Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. army veteran of the Korean War. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Fairview Primitive Baptist Church; 2353 Ferry Road; Bellbrook, Ohio with Pastor Jason Robinette officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at 11:30 a.m. with the service at 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank everyone for their many prayers, love, and support. A special thank you to Hospice and Kettering Medical Center nurses and physicians.
