Lois Jean Gillam Hanson's Obituary
HANSON, Lois Jean Gillam age 86 of Atlanta, GA passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Atlanta. She was born June 17, 1921 in Harveysburg, OH. Lois graduated from Kingman High School, class of ’39 and attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. She was a member of and very active in several committees and activities at the Front Street Presbyterian Church in Hamilton including volunteer Pianist. Lois was also the volunteer Music Director and Pianist at the Westwood United Presbyterian Church in Easton, OH in the church’s early years. She was past president of the Hamilton Kiwanis Auxiliary, active in the Butler County Heart Assoc. and a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader. In moving to Atlanta, Lois was active in the First Presbyterian Church as well as many philanthropic organizations. Lois was an avid bridge player and enjoyed music, gardening and sewing. Her brother Wilford Gillam preceded her in death. Her devoted husband Lennart, married 64 years, two daughters Claire and Ingrid Hanson, two sons Clyde and Harold Hanson, grandson Harold Hanson, Jr. and her sister Helen Gerard, survive Lois. Memorial Services 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 4 at Jonah’s Run Baptist Church in Harveysburg. Burial to follow at Miami Cemetery, Waynesville.
