There are far too many memories to share on this site, but I treasure all of the moments that I spent visiting and/or dining with Lyle, and until 10 years ago, his late wife Ellen. I got to know them both very well through my mother as they all became close friends. I am especially glad that I got to visit with Lyle in early December when I was back in Ohio for a holiday visit. No matter the subject, Lyle was always willing to listen. To say that he will be sorely missed is an understatement, but I will always remember that wonderful smile. My condolences to the family.
Lyle was a precious dear man and my neighbor. He always had a smile on his face and always welcomed me into his house. I never heard him say a negative word about anyone. I enjoyed hearing stories from his military days. I'll always remember seeing him out mowing, something he seemed to enjoy doing. He was a great member of the community, always involved in helping others. My grandkids and I will miss seeing him.
He was a special person.
