Lynn Fairchild's Obituary
Fairchild, Lynn age 74, of Waynesville, passed away Fri. Feb. 16, 2018 at Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville. Lynn worked as a farmer on the family farm in Kentucky for the majority of his life. While there he was bestowed the highest title of honor a Kentucky Colonel. When he returned to Ohio, he worked for GM and finally retired after 14 years of service. He was a faithful member for 10 years at the Dodd’s Pentecostal Church in Waynesville. For almost 30 years, he volunteered his time at Quaker Heights spreading the Gospel. He was known for being a wonderful man, a gentle giant, that loved tractors and being part of ministries for the church. He was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Settie Fairchild. He is survived by his wife of 44 ½ years, Evaline; even though he had no children of his own, he thought of Kelly (Steve) Perdue and Clifton Lamb as his own, as well as their children Brooke and Mikah; one brother Glenn Fairchild; one sister Helen Miller; two nephews Kenny (Becky) Fairchild and Eric (Jennifer) Fairchild; two nieces Regina (Mike) Beagle and Joy Lynette (Dave) Shafer; a host of friends; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 12:30 PM Fri., Feb. 23 at Dodd’s Pentecostal Church in Waynesville. Bernice Robbins will be officiating. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
