Margaret "Margie" A. Albrecht's Obituary
Margaret "Margie" Albrecht passed peacefully and unexpectedly on 10/11/22 at her home in Waynesville.
Margie was born on 11/2/39 in Kentucky to Margeret and Lawrence Nienaber. She was the 6th child born of 7 children. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Budde, with whom she had seven children. She is survived by a second husband for which she was blessed, Michael J. Albrecht, who loved and adored her and her seven children. Margie and Michael were planning for their 40th anniversary in just a few weeks. Margie was the official taste-tester of every batch of cookies Michael made regularly. She loved to travel and camp and spent many miles pulling a small camper across the States in her retirement with Michael.
Margie taught her children to be strong and independent and not to give up. She encouraged her children to do their best and not compare themselves to others. Her family was very important to her. She was glowingly happy when everyone was able to be together for holidays or Sunday dinners. She had 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them.
She was quick-witted and remained sharp to the end. She loved playing word games and computer games. She loved to read. Her dog, Max, who became the “8th sibling," protected and loved her. He gave her joy every day with his antics.
"Margie", "Mom", "Mimi" will be deeply missed as her family was not prepared for her absence. Rest in peace, mom. We will love and cherish every memory.
Margie leaves in her absence her devoted husband, Michael J. Albrecht, her children; Matt (Lury) Budde, Meg (Terry) Flannery, Jenny (Brad) Baldwin, Cindy (Steve) Zimmermann, Carol (David) Griffith, Joanne (Greg) George, and Stephen (Sara) Albrecht, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three siblings, Tommy (Janet) Nienabor, Carol Dewald, and Joyce (Jerry) Greene.
Funeral Mass to be held at 2 PM Monday, October 17, 2022, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville. Father Bernie Weldishofer will be officiating. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Donations in honor of Margie may be made to Ohio Right to Life, 65 E. State Street, Suite 300, Columbus, OH 43215.
