Margaret Hopkins' Obituary
HOPKINS, Margaret L. age 90 of Mt Holly-Waynesville passed away Sun. May 13, 2012. A 1939 graduate of Miamisburg High School, she was proud to have lettered in women's basketball for the Vikings. She received the Tiffany Award as an Avon lady, with 25 years of service. She was a former Greene County Citizen of the Year, a member of the Bellbrook Grange and the Waynesville United Methodist Church, and greatly enjoyed line dancing, collecting dolls, and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. "Pat" in 1993; her parents Harry and Kate Johnson; two brothers Clifford and Dick; and three sisters Bertha Mae, Mary Louise, and Shirley. She is survived by her two daughters Amy Mooney ( Brian Fannin) and Patricia Kan, son James W. "John" (Lisa) Hopkins, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and one brother Dale. Funeral services 1 PM Wed. May 16. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Wed. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
