Margaret "Peg" Rose Rice's Obituary
RICE, Margaret "Peg" Rose (née Pankuch), age 96, of Waynesville, born on December 18, 1929, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Peg was preceded in death by her beloved husband, artist, and filmmaker, Jud Yalkut (1938-2013).
Peg took special joy in her family, including her daughter, Natasha Lovas of Anderson, Ohio; son, William "Bill" Lovas of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Nancy (née Lovas) Blamer and son-in-law, Biff Blamer of Alexandria, Kentucky; step-daughter, Megan Yalkut of Boulder, Colorado; and sister-in-law, Sandra Yalkut, and her children, Brent Yalkut of Hollywood, Florida and Michael and Lilia Yalkut of Tel Aviv, Israel.
Peg is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Kyle Sloan and his girlfriend Angel Harrington; and her three sisters, Katerina and Aleksandra Lovas, and Sarita Yalkut.
Alongside her husband, Jud, Peg was very active in the Dayton and Waynesville, Ohio communities, serving on numerous boards and committees of local non-profits. She and Jud took a special interest in the arts, music, and history.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
