Marilyn B. Thompson's Obituary
THOMPSON, Marilyn B. age 73, of Waynesville, passed away Sat. Aug. 20, 2016 at Hospice of Butler & Warren County. Marilyn was a 1961 graduate of Waynesville High School. A Stanley Home Products sales lady, she also cleaned homes and offices for several years, and worked at NCR for some time. She was an active and faithful member of the Corwin Pentecostal Church. She also enjoyed working at the election polls for 40 years, working at the Renaissance Festival for the past 24 years, making baby quilts, making handwritten cookbooks for people when they get married, spreading her love through her cooking, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Acy and Blanche Lamb; three brothers Rev. Walter Lamb, Rev. Acy W. Lamb, and Anthony Lamb; and three sisters Lucille Henry, Velma Lamb, and Effie Patton. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd "Gene"; daughters Roxi Thompson and Jill (Jack) Smith; son Eric Thompson; five grandchildren Brittany (Tyler) Reed, Danielle Tudor, Brycin Katzenbach, Griffin Smith, and Eva Smith; four great grandchildren Trenton, Nolan, Bristol, and Townson; one brother Johnny (Bonnie) Lamb; and one sister Ramona (John) Sackett. Funeral services 1 PM Fri. Aug. 26 at the Corwin Pentecostal Church. Rev. Phillip Hoskins and Rev. Phil Fulton will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5 - 9 PM Thurs. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family.
