Marjorie Furnas' Obituary
FURNAS, Marjorie Z. age 87 of Centerville passed away Fri. Oct. 29, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. After graduating from St. Elizabeth Nursing School in 1945, she served in WWII as an army nurse and later served in several care facilities. She was a member of the Friends Meeting in Waynesville and former member of the Warren County Nurses Assoc., Montgomery County Farmers Bureau, and Wayne Twp. Farmers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Genevieve Zimmerman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Seth "Bud" E., two sons John (Nancy) of NC and Fred (Brenda) Furnas of Wayne Twp., two daughters Ruth (Steve) Varner of Cincinnati and Marilyn (Nick) Lang of Columbus, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three sisters Jean James of Middletown, Helen Earnhart of Lebanon, and Linda (Mel) Bramlage of Vandalia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Quaker services 11 AM Mon. Nov. 1 at the Friends Meeting House in Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sun. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville.
