Marvin R. Farquer's Obituary
FARQUER, Marvin R., age 82, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Otterbein Lebanon.
Marvin was a lifelong farmer and worked with his dad most of his life. He was so passionate about his work, he even had a collection of International tractors, miniature and full-size, and many implement magazines involving farm equipment. After semi-retiring from the major farm work, he began working for Buckley Bros Inc., a feed mill in Wilmington, for several years. He attended the First Church of God in Wilmington.
He took great pride and joy in maintaining a beautiful yard, and he was meticulous at it. Marvin enjoyed playing billiards and was quite good at the game. He was a dog lover and was very fond of his companion, Cuddles, a mixed breed. Being very independent and friendly, he was a good listener with a compassionate heart. He was very inquisitive about the things around him and liked to observe all the commotion that would occur on a regular basis at Otterbein. He had a routine of walking around the grounds at Otterbein and talking to anyone and everyone. While at Otterbein, he enjoyed playing their arcade basketball and would regularly pass the time watching his Westerns on the TV. Marvin was proud of his family and looked forward to spending the holidays at his sister’s house.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Geraldine Farquer. He is survived by his sister, Diana (Ben) Beckett; niece, Kristen (Ron) McCarren; nephew, Joshua (Amanda) Beckett; and three great-nieces, Addyson, Kara, and Emma.
A graveside service will be at 10 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Larry Spielman will be officiating. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home is serving the family. Condolences may be shared at https://www.stubbsconner.com.
