Mary Lou Lebby's Obituary
LEBBY, Mary Lou, age 88, of Waynesville and formally of Norfolk, Virginia passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Hillspring of Springboro.
Mary Lou grew up attending the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Norfolk. She retired in 2015 after owning and operating the Willoughby Inn in Norfolk for over 40 years.
Strong and independent, Mary Lou cared greatly for others in need and expected excellence and responsibility from others. She was a successful business woman and dedicated her life to her four businesses. She lived the fundamental American dream of working hard and taking strategic risks for the ultimate benefit of working for herself. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed oil painting and cooking. Growing up on the water, her cooking, that included steamed crabs, She-crab soup, and crab cakes will always be remembered most.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby and her parents Ridgley and Mary Nelson. She is survived by three sons Scott (Kathy) Hudson, Mark Hudson, and Jonathon Lebby; and two grandchildren Paul and Ryan Hudson.
Services in Norfolk will be held at a later date. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions can be made in her honor at Norfolk SPCA, St. Judes/Shriner’s Hospital for Children or Hospice. Condolences at http://www.stubbsconner.com.
