Mary B. LeMay's Obituary
LeMay, Mary B. age 98, of Lebanon and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Fri. Jan. 20, 2017 at Otterbein Senior Community, Lebanon. Mary and her husband owned and operated LeMay's Clothing Care Center in Waynesville and the local BMV. She was one of the founders of the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival, the first president of the Waynesville Post 615 Auxiliary, and one of the first EMT's in Wayne Township and female school bus drivers in the area. She was a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Police and the Warren County Conservation Association. She was also past president of the local Democratic party, the New Century Club and the Progressive Women's Club in Waynesville. Along with her husband, they were formerly awarded Citizen of the Year in Waynesville. Mrs. LeMay was also honored by the Waynesville Mayor with "Mary LeMay Day." She greatly enjoyed working the election polls in Waynesville for many decades. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1986; one son Dick Robinson; her parents Louis and Josephine Burton; three brothers Charles, George, and Jim Burton; and sister Dorothy Terrell. She is survived by two sons Fred (Jerri) LeMay and Tom (Norma) Robinson; daughter Sybil LeMay-Hayes; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services 10:30 AM Sat. Jan. 28 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Linda Kline will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Fri. at the funeral home.
