Mary Schmitt's Obituary
SCHMITT, Mary E. age 95 of Waynesville and formerly of Miamisburg passed away Sun. March 29, 2009 at Quaker Heights Care community in Waynesville. Mary had been a member of the Sugarcreek United Church of Christ, the Miami Chapter #107 Order of Eastern Star in Waynesville, and the Bellbrook Grange. She made and donated afghans and lap robes to her church's Trinity Home for the aged. She also made and donated hundreds of blankets and caps she crocheted for newborn babies and preemies to Greene and Warren County's Children Services. Mary was the widow of George Schmitt, a Waynesville farmer. She was also preceded in death by her parents Ezra and Katherine Ebright, a son Jackie Rankin, four brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by a son Billy (Virginia) Rankin, a daughter Martha Ann (Warren Eugene) Davis, one sister Juanita (Bob) Mowen; brothers Bob (Julia) Townsend and Jim Townsend, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Funeral services 2 PM Thurs. April 2 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Bob Jones officiating. Burial Centerville Cemetery.
