Mildred "Mickie" Hall's Obituary
HALL, Mildred “Mickie” E. age 86 of West Carrollton passed away Fri. Aug. 24, 2007 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She retired from Delco Air (Harrison Radiator) after 30 years of service. Upon retirement, Mickie got busy with life. In her newfound spare time, she discovered she had a knack for crafts. She kept busy, making ceramics, sewing, crocheting, making candy, and decorating cakes. Many friends and family members were happy recipients of her handiwork. She also loved to travel; she and Bee took to the road to see America on several cross country trips, visiting friends and family along the way. She had a lively soul, and an infectious laugh; always ready to tease a smile from those she loved. Holidays were important to Mickie, whether it was at their traditional Christmas Eve gathering, the sending of her annual Thanksgiving and Easter cards, or the passing out of full-size Hershey bars to neighborhood trick-or-treaters, she made everyone feel special. Mickie always had time for others, sending cards to brighten days, or holding hands during tough times, she always knew what you needed. Mickie lived a rich life, touched many people, warmed the hearts of her husband, children, and grandchildren, she will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her father James. R. Evans I, mother Hazel Evans, two brothers James R. Evans II and Bill Evans, and one sister Frances Armstrong. She is survived by her loving husband Bee, married 40 years; son Albert “Nuney” Hatfield Jr. of Washington C.H.; three daughters Barbara Webb of Kettering, Cheryl Hecht of Kettering, and Vickie Moore of Dayton; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother Lawrence C. and his wife Helen Evans of FL; sister Jeannie Fetveit of West Carrollton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
