Minnie L. Bussell's Obituary
BUSSELL, Minnie L., age 94, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Minnie was a member of the Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon.
Minnie was loving, giving, outgoing, and independent. She greatly enjoyed sewing, especially making dresses for herself, blankets, and quilts. Along with her husband, Walter, they enjoyed gardening and canning for many years. In addition, she taught Sunday School for several years and was active in church activities throughout her life. Before her husband retired, and especially afterward, they started spending their winters in Florida. They enjoyed many years in the Sebring and Lake Istokpogo areas of Florida, where they enjoyed fishing, among other activities. She will primarily be remembered for how proud she was to be a Christian and the pride she had for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 2018; one son, Paul Bussell; granddaughter, LeeAnn Bussell; her parents, William and Edna Thompson; two brothers, Byron and Til Thompson; and two sisters, Sarah Rohman and Gertrude West. She is survived by two sons, Ed (Cheryl) Bussell and Terry (Kathy) Bussell; seven grandchildren, Natalie (Jon) Collins, Scott (Amanda) Bussell, David (Emily) Bussell, Bryon (Cara) Bussell, Alex Bussell, Anthony (Holly) Delargy, and Andrew (Jen) Delargy; 10 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Emma, Lainey, Ellie, Tyler, Landon, Gauge, Van, Millie, and Joselyn; and one brother, Donald Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, December 28, at Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati. Pastor Tom Pendergrass is serving the family. The family will receive friends 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Wednesday at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
