Mydie Bell Kidd's Obituary
KIDD, Mydie Bell, age 75, of Waynesville, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Spunky, giving, caring, fun-loving, and outgoing, Mydie was feisty in a fun way and never hesitated to offer advice or share words of wisdom. She had faith in God her entire life and often encouraged family and friends to establish a relationship with God. She loved flowers and kept them around her apartment all year round. She also enjoyed watching the 700 Club on TV every day and spending time with her grandchildren. The holidays were always celebrated at her home, which was a fond tradition for the family. Among many things, she will be remembered for her collections of elaborate purses, roosters of all sorts, shoes, bold and flashy costume jewelry, and, of course, flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2007; her parents, Elihu and Cynthia Colwell; and James, Estil, Bob, Bill, and Junior Colwell; and one sister, Eva Hollandsworth. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Dorgan (Mike); two sons, Randy Parsons (Missy) and Tommy (Sharon) Kidd; 11 grandchildren, James, Shana, Amber, and Katie Parson, Tiffany (Travis) Gibson, Hunter Adkins, Michael Dorgan, and Megan, Emily, Ashley, and Thomas Kidd; and nine great-grandchildren, Jama, Bailey, James, Lincoln, Bexley, Preston, Jacob, Payton, and Dawson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, November 27, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Phillip Hoskins will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends from from 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral home on Monday. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
