My heart is broken to learn of my dear friend's death. I met Nancy in the early 60s when we were students at Morehead State College/University. We lived in Allie Young Hall and spent most of our free time together. We often ate at the Campus Restaurant or at Batson Drug which had delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. I often feared Nancy would be hit by a car because she would walk out into street and stop traffic as if she were a school crossing guard to see that I got safely across the street. One weekend she took me home with her to meet her entire family. I did not get to attend hers and Larry's wedding because I was hospitalized after having surgery but they stood up with Paul and me at our wedding. In our younger days, she, Larry, their boys, Paul, me and our boys were often together. When I finally completed college, many years later, Nancy flew to Florida to attend my commencement and yes, the gift she carried with her was a Precious Moments figurine of a graduate. We went to the beach that weekend and had so much fun. The last time I saw Nancy and Larry, they stopped by our home in Titusville, FL and we went out to supper together even though I was dealing with kidney stones. Nancy and I also dragged out the old Morehead State College yearbooks and relived so many wonderful memories from that part of our lives. I often think of Nancy and will continue to think of her and enjoy the wonderful times she and I had together because she was like a dear sister to me. My deepest sympathies are extended to her family and friends. I am sure she is now dancing her way across heaven as she use to dance around the dorm and campus all those decades ago. Rest in peace my dear friend.
