Nanetta Grow's Obituary
GROW, Nanetta, age 68, of Miamisburg passed away Wed. Oct. 10, 2018 at Sycamore Hospital in Dayton.
Nanetta attended Miami Valley School of Nursing, where she earned a RN degree. She retired from Miami Valley Hospital after working 31 years in the medical field as a psychiatric nurse. While she was living in California, she was awarded Nurse of the Year in San Diego. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Ladies and served as Queen until she got sick. Every week these ladies would go to a different restaurant and try different food. Nanetta was a very active, happy-go-lucky person. She enjoyed embroidery, cross-stitching, knitting, and creating afghans. She also loved to read and listen to music. She will be remembered for her caring personality and the way she made everyone feel welcome and comfortable in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Amy Grow; her parents Daniel and Emma Meade; and her brother Danny Allen Meade. She is survived by her son Eric Grow; one grandson Waylon Grow; great granddaughter Raelyn Simmons; one sister Dana (John) Jones; six nephews Tom Schweitzer, John Schweitzer, Daniel (Jenna) Schweitzer, Tim Ison, Joshua (Hannah) Jones, and Jake (Heather) Jones; and one great niece that she loved, Harper.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 PM Sat. Oct. 20 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Celebrant Katie Mackoway will be officiating the service.
