Nellie V. Rich's Obituary
Nellie (McCarren) RICH, age 91, of Waynesville, passed away Sun. March 29, 2015. Nellie was a graduate of Harveysburg High School, the class of '42 Valedictorian. She was a member of Jonah’s Run Baptist Church, Harveysburg Community Helpers, Clinton County Homemakers Club, and a charter member of Harveysburg’s Historical Society. A proud farmer’s wife, Nellie enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, and raising chickens. Friends and family alike will remember Nellie’s pies and hickory nut cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Bunk”, son-in-law Arnold Friend, parents Frank and Reba McCarren, seven brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her two sons Russell and Robert (Judy) Rich, daughter Rayenell Friend, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thurs. April 2 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sat. April 11 at Jonah’s Run Baptist Church near Harveysburg. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
