Pamela Faith Gilbert's Obituary
GILBERT, Pamela Faith, age 64, of Lebanon and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Hospice of Butler/ Warren Counties.
Pam graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’77. She attended Found by Faith Ministries in Harveysburg. She loved God and enjoyed praising him and studying the Bible. She would regularly sing and play the tambourine in church. She enjoyed listening to Christian music. Her favorite time of the year was during the candlelight services.
She was well known for her cleaning skills and cleaned several offices and residences on the side. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was very talented for her decorative towels and pot holders that she created. She enjoyed shopping. Her favorite hobbies were working out in her yard, planting flowers, and landscaping. Loving, sweet, kind, and selfless, Pamela had a very gentle and humble personality. She was always very giving and appreciative. Her caring personality could touch your heart and make you feel loved even if she barely knew you. She always encouraged those around her; even though she had a sensitive side, she could also be very comical. Crafting was one of her favorite hobbies. She created various paintings, bracelets, and birdhouses out of gourds. Pam was very proud of her kids and grandchildren. She looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas when the whole family would be together. When the kids were growing up, Pam and her husband, Ron, enjoyed taking the kids on vacations. Some of their favorite places to visit were the house where Laura Ingalls Wilder grew up in Minnesota, Hocking Hills, Myrtle Beach, and New York. She loved cats but didn’t want them inside the house. Over the years, she collected porcelain dolls, angels, and cat figurines. She enjoyed watching different television shows. Some of her favorite shows were watching pastor’s sermons, especially Jimmy Swaggart. Among many things, she will be remembered for her smile and contagious laugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron M. Gilbert, in 2020 and her father, Glenn R. Cox. She is survived by her son, Travis Gilbert; daughter, Alicia Gilbert (fianceé Paul Salvador); two granddaughters, Lexie Heinlein and Aliania Salvador; her mother, Wanda Cox; sister, Kimberly (Darrell) McKinney; nephew, Kristopher (Nikki) McKinney; niece, Desiree Osborn; great-nieces, Addyson and Kensi; and great nephew, Wayden.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, January 23, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Life Celebrant Katie Mackoway will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Corwin. The family will receive friends from 11 am – 1 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
