Pamela Norman (Reeves)'s Obituary
Pamela Norman, age 73 of Waynesville, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Pam was born in Kettering on May 13, 1950.
She graduated from Waynesville High School, class of '68. She had a vibrant spirit and a warm heart that radiated love and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others as a medical assistant. She worked tirelessly, providing invaluable support and comfort to those in need as an in-home medical assistant for over 10 years.
Bubbly and fun-loving, Pam had a great sense of humor and loved to make family and friends laugh. She was caring and helpful and always there for family and friends. She loved playing Bingo at Conover in Franklin and at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville. She also enjoyed fishing, watching westerns on TV, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She had a love for crocheting and became quite good at making many artful pieces. She won several awards at the county fair for her crochet work and was always proud that she was able to sell several of her items.
She enjoyed several family traditions over the years, including getting together each June for a family picnic. In addition, for the past 10 years or so after her parents died, she got together with her siblings for a meal on a monthly basis, which she always looked forward to. Elephants were her favorite animal, which resulted in her collecting several elephant related figurines and items of interest. Among many things, she will be remembered for the strength and reliability she showed in raising her three children as a single mom. In addition, family will always remember her for her amazing banana pudding, homemade chili, and chip dip.
Pam was preceeded in death by her husband, Roy Norman, in 2004. Her legacy lives on through her children, Carl Reeves, Chad Reeves, and Stacie (Chad) Atkinson; grandchildren, Zola, Drew, Brooke, and Josie; and her siblings, Chuck (Lana) Messer, Eric Messer, Sandi Hodson, and Mary (Bob) Hays.
The family will receive friends 5 -7 PM Tuesday, December 12 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home, where friends and family will be encouraged to share favorite stories and fond memories of Pam.
