Patricia S. Walter, D.M.D.'s Obituary
WALTER, Patricia S., D.M.D., age 57, of Oregonia and formerly of Louisville, KY passed away Fri. Sept. 25, 2015 from a horseback riding accident in Wyoming, doing what she loved most which was chasing cattle. Patricia received her undergraduate degree and DMD degree, with Certificate in Endodontics, at the Univ. of Louisville. Since 1984, she practiced endodontics and periapical surgery in Louisville, KY, Boston, MA, and Cincinnati, OH. She greatly enjoyed horseback riding, cooking, gardening, and especially volunteer work for veterans and underserved children. Among many professional organizations she was involved with, she was president of the Cincinnati Dental Society (CDS) in 2012 and ODA Delegate of the Ohio Dental Association for the past 10 years. Her community service involvement includes trustee of the CDS's Oral Health Foundation, board president of the Children's Oral Health Network, and trustee of the CDS's Leave No Vet Behind Project. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry G. and Estelle Walter. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Peter F. von Meister; one brother Henry J. (Alice) Walter, M.D.; two sisters Nancy W. (William) Ary and Sharon Walter; four nephews John A. (Perrine) Hoerter, Christopher J. Hoerter, Patrick C. Hoerter, and Henry B. Walter; and one niece Mary Nancy Walter. Memorial service will be Noon Sat. Oct. 24 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon. Father Bernard Weldishofer will be officiating.
