Im not family, Paul and Barbara helped a bunch of kids from an organization back in the late 90s and early 2000s. I was one of the kids who stayed there in Ohio. Paul and Barbara was so kind. He showed me how to train a baby cult, how to ride a horse. We road the John Deere Gators around the property to fed the horses. He talk to us about God and how to be a Godly man. I will always remember his hands. Fingers where much wider then I have ever seen. I would joke and call him "Paul Bunyan" I remember the day I told him I was going back home he seemed sad, I was about 16 or 17 so I didnt realize but I wish I would have given him a hug. I did say thank you for everything. I was just so excited to go home to California. I just had to tell him! Over the years I thought about my experiences in Ohio. I even tell my kids about my only times in Ohio and how we caught a snapping turtle and made turtle nuggets and how I had deer burgers for the first time. I looked for him on the internet over the years but for whatever reason its not until now I remembered the last name "Brothers" Everything clicked. I was hoping he was still with us. I wanted to tell him thank you! Thank you to his wife Barbra for being so kind and caring. They treated me like family. I will always remember the fun times I had on the farm! My deepest condolences to the family! I know he is in heaven now at peace. He is an amazing example of a Godly man! I pray I'm not out of line for writing this I just needed to write something. It seemed right. See you one day Paul! -Jeremiah
