Phyllis A. Hendrickson's Obituary
Hendrickson, Phyllis A., age 54, of Sugarcreek Township and formerly of Harveysburg, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
Business-minded, Phyllis owned and operated Caesar Creek Trailer Sales and Boat Storage. In addition, she assisted her husband by serving as the office and financial manager with his businesses, EW Construction and EWH Homes.
Caring, loving, hardworking, and family-oriented, Phyllis was devoted, selfless, and always concerned for the needs of others. She loved being a grandma, and had recently moved to Bellbrook to be close to her grandsons. She was meticulous with her landscaping and kept her home looking nice. In addition, she loved cooking and will always be remembered for making the best tacos, mandarin cake, and beef stroganoff. Along with her husband, Phyllis owned a vacation home in Panama City Beach, Florida, where she greatly enjoyed spending time on the beach, going out to dinner, and doing all the ordinary beach activities. Usually, she insisted on taking the grandsons with her to the beach to enjoy both of her favorites things together. While her son was living in Alabama, it was common for Phyllis to hop in the car on a moment’s notice, just to spend time with those she loved. She loved entertaining and getting family and friends together for dinners and events, which became a fond tradition. Among many things, Phyllis will be remembered for her love of colorful Lilly Pulitzer clothes. However, nothing compared to how much she cared for those grandsons.
Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Joyce and an infant brother, Nelson Ray. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Chris (Dr. Kate) Hendrickson and Nick Hendrickson; two grandsons, Emmett and Elliott; her mother, Dolores Lamb; two sisters, Joyce (Rick) Wilcox and Tammy (Gordon) Rausch; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 2 PM on Thursday, May 15, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 PM on Thursday at the funeral home, with Guy Lamb officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Phyllis’ honor. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
