Ralph G. Mottashed's Obituary
MOTTASHED, Ralph G., age 73, of Lebanon, passed away Fri. June 15, 2018 at Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville.
Ralph graduated from Peebles High School and was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He retired from Stearns & Foster after 30 years of service and was a member of New Freedom Church in Lebanon.
As a man who cherished any opportunity to get people together, Ralph was quite the jokester and always wanted others to laugh and have fun. He greatly enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. Ralph will be remembered for his sweet tooth, especially his midnight snacking raids. Along with coffee, anytime was a good time to have some sweets, especially his favorite-cookies. Some of his favorite memories were created when his parents were living, and along with his siblings and their families, they would rent a big house in Florida each year and enjoy each other’s company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Sr. and Nellie and one brother Charles Mottashed Jr. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Linda; daughter April (Cliff) Jones; son Kevin (Bethany) Mottashed; nine grandchildren Erica (Jeff) Reed, Chelsy Jones (fiancee Quintin), Zachary (Imari) Hough, Hallie Jones, Abigail Hough (Fiancee Claudio), Gage Mottashed, Carter Mottashed, Myah Jones, and Jozie Jones; three great grandchildren Camden, Lydia, and Cheyenne; two brothers Don (Mary) Mottashed and Ted (Brenda) Mottashed; sister Keturah Baker; sister-in-law Sue Mottashed; and mother and father-in-law Don and Mary Shutts.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wed. June 20 at New Freedom Church in Lebanon. Pastor Joe Shutts will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Tues. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, American Parkinson’s Disease Assoc., and/or Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
