Raymond L. Miller's Obituary
MILLER, Raymond L., age 67, of Morrow and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Raymond retired in 2022 from CINFAB in Cincinnati after 23 years of service to the company.
Ornery, bold, outspoken, and chaotic in a fun way, Raymond loved making people blush for the sole purpose of getting to see their reaction. His favorite hobbies included fishing and hunting. With his friend John almost always joining him, Raymond usually went hunting in Bainbridge or Waynesville. Regarding his fishing adventures, he was usually joined by his friend, Rick, but he was known to take various family members along. Caesar Creek Lake, Cowan Lake, and a quarry in Morrow were his favorite fishing spots, regardless of whether he was casting a line from one of his several boats or by land. He also had a passion for archery, but only with the use of a compound bow. Raymond never held back his opinions, which were evident when his daughter wanted to learn to shoot with a compound bow. He quickly pointed out his objection to crossbows, saying they were more her type. Raymond also enjoyed watching TV, with westerns, especially the Bonanza show, and the Andy Griffith show being his favorites. Hanging out in his garage with friends and family, laughing and drinking beer, was his other favorite way to spend his free time.
Raymond enjoyed several traditions during his life. Family bingo nights, showing up on Sunday mornings at his daughter’s house to spend quality time, and enjoying meals at the Country Kitchen restaurant with his wife and family each week were some of his fondest memories. His family will always remember that he seemed to like what most people didn’t, which never surprised them. Liver and onions with mashed potatoes at the Country Kitchen was his favorite meal. Raymond also enjoyed hosting a family fish fry each summer at his house, complete with 4-wheeler rides and enough fish for everyone to enjoy. Among many things, he will be remembered for how proud he was of his deer room, which was filled with deer heads and other deer-related collectibles. He was especially proud of a Piebald deer he shot, which he fully mounted and prominently placed in his collection. Family and friends will also remember how Raymond rarely left the house without some part of his attire being camo material, even if it was just a hat to ensure it was represented.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Miller; five brothers, Tommy, Dick, and Willie Miller, and Bob and Jimmy Frederick; and one sister, Beverly Wilkinson. He is survived by his wife, Martha; three children, Robert Miller (Hallie McClusky), Heather Miller, and Shelby Miller (Anthony Foster); stepchildren, Jeremy (Lisa) Baker, Amber Baker, and Alan Quevedo; grandchildren, Hailee (Bradley), Makayla, Nolan, Liam, Emma, Kylie, Ava, Nora, and Alana; one brother, Butch (Liz) Frederick; and one sister, Penny Walden.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM on Wednesday, October 15, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation on Wednesday at 7 PM at the funeral home, with Danny Lamb officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash. Condolences may be made to the family at www.stubbsconner.com.
