Rebecca J. Rommes' Obituary
ROMMES, Rebecca J. age 70, of Harveysburg, passed away Tues. Feb. 14, 2017 at the Atrium Medical Center, Middletown. After working at Otterbein Retirement Community, Rebecca retired after 30 years of service from Quaker Heights Care Community as a dietitian. She attended the Jonah’s Run Baptist Church in Wilmington. She was a member of the Harveysburg’s VFW Auxiliary, Waynesville American Legion Auxiliary, and the Harveysburg Community Helpers. She greatly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen in 1994; and her parents William Floyd Hoffer and Margaret Hoffer. She is survived by her three sons Tim Hoffer (Bonnie Agee), Bill (June) Hoffer, Jim (Delma) Shumaker; seven grandchildren Lauren, Margaret, Brandon, Erin, John Roy, Vickie, Johnny, and Mickie; and three great grandchildren Noah, Nevaeh, Darrius. Funeral services 12 PM Tues. Feb. 21 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 PM Mon. at the funeral home.
