Robert H. Osterhues' Obituary
OSTERHUES, Robert H., age 89, of Oregonia, and formerly of Palmetto, FL, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022.
Robert graduated from Morrow High School, class of '51. He retired from Agri-Urban/Landmark, where he thoroughly enjoyed servicing customers' fuel, feed, or seed needs in the Corwin and Lebanon areas for over 32 years. He honorably served our United States Air Force and was stationed in Geneva, NY; Wichita Fall, TX; and Washington DC. He was a member of the Lebanon congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
For over 20 years, he lived in Palmetto, FL, and every day he would take some time to play shuffleboard and go to the pool. Being a nice, sweet, and pleasant gentleman, he earned the reputation of being the easiest person to get along with and never complained about anything. He was a huge NASCAR fan and looked forward to when the races would start. He enjoyed watching all the different sports, rotating throughout the seasons. He adored being on the farm and looked forward to planting a garden each year, especially his tomato plants.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ethel Osterhues, in 2014; one son-in-law Ken Knick; parents Henry and Elizabeth Osterhues; and one brother-in-law James Burch. He is survived by one son Robert (Chris) Osterhues II; one daughter Robbynn Knick; four grandchildren Jacob Osterhues, Matthew (Candice) Osterhues, Brian (Toya) Knick, and Allan (Allison) Knick; three great-grandchildren Jayce Osterhues, Cyrus Osterhues, and Titus Osterhues; and one sister Patricia Burch along with several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses at jw.org. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
