Angy Shaw
"Uncle Bob"..any mention of my great uncle and immediately a smile comes to my face. I think of love and orneriness! When he saw me he went out of his way to know, "what's going on with you." My older sister is Amy and I am Angy, when we were very little Uncle Bob dubbed us "Amos and Andy!" And would always call us that when he saw us! Haha, I loved it! When my sister, cousin and I were teenagers, we were dropped off at the skating rink. We were supposed to be picked up by our moms but they asked our dads to go get us and Uncle Bob rode along too. He had on an enormous straw hat and a white t-shirt with holes in it which showed off his well rounded figure :) My Dad (Mark) and my Uncle Aaron knew this would be the perfect way to embarass us impressionable teenagers. So they asked Uncle Bob if he would want to come in, he said that would be great to get to see the old rink. As soon as they walked in my cousin suddenly grabbed by arm and said in a freaked out voice "oh my gosh!" There stood Uncle Bob looking so "fashionable" and my sister and I froze. We were all so embarrassed and appalled! As we tried to slink past them (sliding against the wall) and hoping they wouldn't talk to us, Uncle Bob said loudly (unaware of what was going on) "Why there's our beautiful girls!" Hahaha, it was so funny! He had a big smile on his face, and now years later I think back on that story fondly with a big smile on MY face. To Aunt Janice and all of the kids, our prayers to you and I love you all. Uncle Bob, I just love you so much and I will miss you! Say"hi" to my Grandma Peggy (your sister) for me. :) With love, your great niece, Angy "Andy" Shaw xoxo
