Robert K. Wood's Obituary
WOOD, Robert K. age 82 of Waynesville passed away Tues. April 1, 2008 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home, Waynesville. Robert was born Sept. 25, 1925 to Jerimah and Jessie Wood in Newtown, OH. He was a WWII Navy veteran and later retired from Texas Eastern Transmission Corp. in 1987 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Waynesville American Legion post 615 and the USS Hector Retirees Assoc. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Imogene, married 60 years, two sons Stephen (Pamela) and Timothy Wood, daughter Judith (Dennis) Kearns, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services 11 AM Thurs. April 3 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Dennis Bunnell officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thurs. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the Wayne Township Rescue Squad in Robert’s memory.
