Roger D. Rhodus' Obituary
RHODUS, Roger D., age 59, of Waynesville and formerly of Oregonia, passed away Tues. Oct. 16, 2018 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.
Roger worked nearly 20 years at B&B Carryout in Waynesville. More recently, he worked for Area Wide Vending in Waynesville. He attended Bethany Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Roger could be considered strong-willed and somewhat reserved, yet he was a likable guy who exhibited good manners and respect to others. He valued the friends he had and seemed to know everyone. He greatly enjoyed fishing, farming, and hunting-especially coon hunting. He also enjoyed making knives, wittling things from wood, seeing his family during reunions, and visiting the cabin with his friends. Roger will be remembered for his unique look that always included a hat on his head and a knife in his pocket.
He was preceded in death by his dad Charles Rhodus. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sandra; six children Jennifer (Christa) Foley, Nickie (Kirk) Johnson, Jeremy Foley, Josh (Eleise) Foley, Crissy Rhodus, and Roger Dale Rhodus; 13 grandchildren Oriah, Aeridan, Shelby, Dylan, Cameron, Ethan, Mason, Kellen, Brynn, Dayla, Gage, Drew, and Lanna; his mom Mary Copas; two brothers Rex (Dora) Rhodus and Brent Rhodus; one sister Ramona (Denver) Farley.
A celebration of life service will be held 6 PM Mon. Oct. 22 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Mon. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Lifeline of Ohio. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
