My uncle Roy was such a sweet father, husband, brother, son and a very special uncle to me! He was born on July 4th and I was born on July 5th. He always made the joke that he was a firecracker and I was a dud! He also had a great voice and loved to sing. He is now in heaven having a reunion with aunt Fannie, my dad, uncle Ike, aunt Bea, mamaw and papaw, plus tons of others! We will miss him, but will see him one day in the sweet bye and bye. ❤️
Yesterday, I was remembering Roy quoting John 3:16. I will never forget him singing love songs to Fannie. Not many men do that, but he loved her so much. When I was younger, I loved walking across the street to visit them both. Roy always made me laugh. He was so easy going with a gentle nature. So many memories....he has been reunited with his cherished wife. - Stephanie wilson
