Roy A. Hendershot's Obituary
HENDERSHOT, Roy A., age 88, of Centerville and formerly of Winchester, TN, passed away Mon. Jan. 28, 2019 at Otterbein-Springboro.
Roy received a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and was a Korean Conflict Air Force veteran. He retired from Steel Manufacturing after 26 years of accounting service.
Somewhat quiet with a dry sense of humor, Roy was often described as a gentleman. He liked to dance, listen to big band music, and play poker. Especially in his younger days, he was an avid bowler and played in a softball league.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tillie, his parents George and Elsie Hendershot, and his brother Neal Hendershot. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Terry Hendershot, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Paul Curran, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be 12:30 PM Tues. Feb. 26, 2019 in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
