Ruby W. Roberts' Obituary
ROBERTS, Ruby W., age 94, of Middletown, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at Majestic Care of Middletown.
Kind, loving, and somewhat quiet natured, Ruby will be especially remembered for how much she loved and cared for her grandchildren. Her favorite hobby included flower and vegetable gardening, which always included canning many of the vegetables each year. Making homemade jelly each year also became one of her notable pastimes. She kept her mind sharp by working puzzles over the years. It became a tradition to travel home to be with family in Tellico Plains, Tennessee for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter holidays most years. Among many things, she will be remembered for her delicious fried chicken dinners that she prepared for Sunday meals with her immediate family.
She is survived by three children Brenda Arrasmith, David Roberts, and Patricia Roberts; two grandchildren Alisha (Doug) Campbell and Robert Arrasmith; and three great grandchildren Ian, Ethan, and Rachel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin, in 1991; her parents Ruben and Martha Duckett; nine brothers Lee, William, Harley, Burt, Jim, Ed, Henry, Sam, and Sidney; and four sisters Dillie, Ethel, Annie, and Emma.
