Russell Rogers' Obituary
ROGERS, Russell Glenn age 86 of Wilmington passed away 4:30 AM Wed. Feb. 3, 2010. As he knew early in the morning was his time with God, with his wife of 64 years and his most valued treasures of their life together at his side, he went home. Russell was a WWII Army veteran and retired from GM in 1978 after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Pentecostal Temple in South Lebanon and the Waynesville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, camping, bluegrass music, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by one grandson Jason Brown; three brothers Odel, Roscoe, and Cecil Rogers; and his parents John and Hazel Rogers. He is survived by his wife Reva; six children Russell (Diane) Rogers of Waynesville, Terry (Milo) Moore of Wilmington, Hazel (Mike) Brown of Harveysburg, Penny Rogers of West Union, Jimmy (Clara) Rogers of Spring Valley, and Robin (Cirby) Gasaway of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and his sister Leona (Dale) Cornelius of Vandalia. Funeral services 1 PM Tues. Feb. 9 at the South Lebanon Pentecostal Temple. Pastor Lester Carpenter and Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
