Ruth Whittamore's Obituary
WHITTAMORE, Ruth A. age 82 of Waynesville passed away Thurs. Nov. 27, 2008 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home, Waynesville. Ruth was born Nov. 5, 1926 to William and Lizzie McKeever in Waynesville. She graduated from Waynesville High School class of ’44 and retired from Henz Hawk & Huelskamp in Dayton after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Xenia First Church of Christ and lifetime member of the Waynesville American Legion Post 615 Auxiliary. She was a charitable giver and an active participant in the Waynesville Alumni Assoc. She also enjoyed genealogy and reading in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Theresa Whittamore, one brother Carl McKeever, two sisters Betty Brown and Laura Sansone, and one step grandson Shawn Wittman. She is survived by two sons Harrison (Karen) Whittamore of Waynesville and Dorsey (Charlene) Whittamore of Lebanon; daughter Rose Brewer of Waynesville; nine grandchildren Heidi (Tim) Miltenberger, Nathaniel (Melissa) Whittamore, Heath Whittamore, Christina Clendenon, Amber Whittamore, Kristal Whittamore, Casey Whittamore, Samuel Whittamore, and Sam Brewer; six great grandchildren Samantha and Ian Miltenberger, Lukas and Liam Whittamore, and Savanah and Richard Clendenon; and one sister Edna Davis of KY. Funeral services Noon Wed. Dec. 3 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 10 AM - Noon Wed. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 615 Auxiliary, Waynesville Alumni Assoc., or the Butler Springs Christian Assembly.
