Sharon Ann Copas' Obituary
COPAS, Sharon Ann, age 79, of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Wilmington Nursing & Rehab.
After graduating from Waynesville High School in 1963, Sharon went to work for the Dayton Power and Light Company, where she was known for her dedication to quality of life improvements for her co-workers and her skills at manipulating and maintaining complex schedules. She retired in 2000 after 37 years of service.
Sharon's love for house plants and flowers brought beauty and tranquility to her home. She was always on the lookout for antique knick knacks and wayward cats in need of a loving owner. She was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting her favorite teams: the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Sharon will also be remembered for her love of playing cards at family gatherings, where her laughter and competitive spirit will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Copas; three brothers, Ronald, Jerry, and David Copas; and three sisters, Shirley Plymire, Linda Lewis, and Rita Lowe. She is survived by her son, Tom (Jeannette) Llewellyn; two granddaughters, Brittaney Shieh and Kayla Bandy; one great-grandson, Alex Shieh; one brother, Steve Copas; and one sister, Nancy (Charles) Livingston.
The family will receive friends 4 to 6 PM on Friday, February 7 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 6 PM on Friday at the funeral home, with Steve Copas officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to SICSA (http://www.sicsa.org). Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
