Sharon A. Lawrence's Obituary
LAWRENCE, Sharon A., age 71, of Blanchester, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at The Laurels of Blanchester.
Sharon’s life was centered around her family and her faith. She was a hardworking and dependable woman who took pride in caring for others, both at home and in her daily life. Those who knew her best remember her as someone always willing to help and always thinking of the needs of her family first. A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Sharon was a member of Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lebanon. Her relationship with the Lord was central to her life. She found comfort and guidance in reading her Bible and often fell asleep listening to gospel music, which brought her peace and reassurance.
In her free time, Sharon enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her joy. She loved flowers, playing games on her phone, and treasured time spent with her family. Holidays were especially meaningful to her. Thanksgiving and Christmas held a special place in her heart, where her proudly claimed role was preparing the turkey for the family gathering. Sharon was known for her loving and caring nature, her sweet personality, and her good sense of humor. She had a special fondness for Mickey Mouse items, which she collected. Among many things, Sharon will be remembered for her deep faith, her devotion to her family, her warm sense of humor, and the love she shared with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lawrence, in 2015; her daughter, Christel “Dawn” Jones, who died four days before her mom; her parents, Herman and Stella Jones; her brother, Sim Jones; and her sisters, Algaria Patterson, Ellamae Lawrence, and Alviena Parker. She is survived by her two sons, James (Kendra) Lawrence and Shawn (Karla) Lawrence; her daughter, Elissa Lawrence; three grandchildren, Shawn Lawrence Jr., Samantha Lawrence, and Kayla (Brandon) Mockabee; two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Rhett; one brother, Herman Wayne (Pam) Jones; two sisters, Sally Koons and Amy (Larry) Ahrmann; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved extended family members.
A combination funeral service for Sharon and her daughter, Dawn, will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lebanon. Larry Isaacs and Jeff Isaacs will be officiating. Burial will be at Sabina Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Monday at the church.
