Sherri D. Sharp's Obituary
SHARP, Sherri D., age 60, of Waynesville, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at her residence.
Sherri loved the Lord and had deep faith in God. She was a faithful member of the Family Life Church in Lebanon.
Sherri was loving, giving, and always encouraging others. She loved to talk with friends and family. Recently, she developed a close friendship with a group of church ladies, whom she loved texting and talking to on the phone. She was a sweetheart who always put others before herself. She loved to joke and have fun, a trait that her family said she obtained from her mother, who Sherri loved dearly. Among many things, she will be remembered for her love of God, her family, and her little Peek-A-Pom dog, Evie.
Sherri had a “bougie” sense of style and loved to shop. She preferred watching QVC for all the latest trends. She absolutely loved Christmas and started decorating just after Halloween, versus waiting until after Thanksgiving. She was extremely family-oriented who loved her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids dearly. She loved any activity or event that brought family together. She greatly enjoyed spending time in her yard, especially around the swimming pool. She loved watching birds from her back porch, with red cardinals and hummingbirds being her favorites. She collected things with cardinals on them, saying that the bird reminded her of her dear mother.
She loved pickles or anything that pertained to them.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Troy Carr, and her mother, Mary (James) Barnhart. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Keith; two daughters, Nikki (Steven) Begley and Jeni (Mitchell) Zopfi; two grandsons, Austin (Macy) Begley and Tyler Begley; and one sister, Cathy (Charles) Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, January 23, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
